ABOUT 14k GOLD FILLED:
*Gold filled is the next level and is an amazing, quality alternative to solid gold
*Gold plating is the lower level and these items tend to tarnish and can often times turn the skin green. Gold filled is an actual layer of gold-pressure bonded to another metal.
*If you can wear gold jewelry without skin sensitivity, you can most likely wear gold filled!
*Many owners find that they never have to clean gold-filled items at all. If it's necessary, clean gold-filled using mild soap and water. Hot weather and water will not damage the material
*During the mid to late Victorian period, gold filled jewelry was very common and was manufactured in large numbers.
OPAL is formed from rain. We are not sure EXACTLY how this process goes, but many believe it is formed when water from rain seeps down into crevasses in the rock. Once the water evaporates, the silica that is left behind dries out and hardens into precious. On the more metaphysical side, it can sooth and clear the emotional body, and boosts the will to live and the joy of one’s earthly existence. It kindles optimism, enthusiasm and creativity, and allows for the release of inhibitions inspiring love and passion.
RHODOLITE GARNET is a crystal of inspiration and emotional healing. It encourages love, kindness and compassion, and promotes self-worth and spiritual growth. It helps one receive abundance on an emotional level, stimulating one's sense of self-worth and alleviating feelings of inadequacy. It assists in owning one's gifts and abilities, and sharing them with others.
TOURMALINE has several interesting properties that set it apart from other gemstones. They can seem darker in color with viewed from different axes, or they can appear as a different color all together when viewed from different angles. Also, if tourmaline is put under a pressure or temperature change, it will generate an electrical charge. When this happens, dust particles become attached to the crystal ends.
